Wingfoil & Kitefoil Deep Water Channels

Where to foil safely without hitting the reef. Channels, tides & mast depths.

Foil Riding in Tropical Waters

Best Foil Window: 2.5 hours before and after High Tide

  • High Tide Session Rule: Foiling inside Bulabog requires minimum 1.2m+ water depth
  • Outer Reef Channel: Easy access to endless rolling ocean swell past the reef pass
  • Mast Length: 75cm to 85cm ideal for both inside channel and open sea swells
  • Downwinders: Legendary 15km open-ocean runs from Carabao Island to Boracay

Wingfoiling and Kitefoiling have exploded on Boracay in recent seasons. The consistent, steady Amihan breeze allows foilers to glide in as little as 10-12 knots, though typical days blow a punchy 20 knots.

Because Bulabog is a shallow coral lagoon, timing with the tide chart is paramount. Foilers launch during mid-to-high tide or take the marked natural channel out into the deep blue ocean where ocean rollers offer endless glide with zero obstacle worries.

Insider tip: Crucial: Never foil during low tide inside the bay! Always check our daily tide bulletin or ask us for the current water chart before taking off.
